Complex 18, Pad A (1961)
  Complex 18, Pad A in 1961 Zoom

This is Complex 18, Pad A as it appeared in 1961 viewed from in front of the blockhouse. The tall, open, peaked-roof structure is the mobile weather cover used for Blue Scout Junior. The assembly directly in front of it is the launch beam for Blue Scout Junior. To the left are the Vanguard umbilical tower and the equipment house.

At the right is the Vanguard Mobile Service Tower (MST). In front of it, surrounded by walls on three sides, is an RP-1 fuel tank. Directly to the tank's left is the auxiliary equipment house. Both the auxiliary equipment house and fuel tank are no longer visible today.
